Welcome back! We hope you had a lovely break.
Although it has been a short week we have packed a lot in. The children have been introduced to the poet Benjamin Zephaniah in their English lessons. The learnt many interesting facts about him and wrote a fact file about him. Did you know that he has a fan club in Malawi. They then went on to explore some of his poems – Who’s Who, Sunnyside Up, Little Sister and Nature Trail to name a few. The children particularly enjoyed Nature Trail as they like insects, they liked the illustrations and enjoy nature.
Next week the children will be learning one of Benjamin Zephaniah’s poems and will be performing it in assembly to Years 1 and 3.
