Black History Month Continues

As we continue through October, we continue our work on Black History Month.

Our person of interest continues to be Sarah Forbes Bonetta. We have learnt that she was born in Nigeria before she came to the UK on the ship ‘Bonetta’ (where she got her surname from!)

So this lesson we learnt all about Nigeria. We learn where in Africa it is, what the flag looks like, all about food, clothing and the weather and climate.

We even had some experts in our classes who are from there and could tell us all about it!
