Throughout the summer term a group of Year 4 students have been taking part in the Brilliant Club. Over seven weeks they participated in tutorials with their PhD tutor Daina Scott and were studying Philosophy: What is fairness? By the end of the seven weeks the children had to produce a 750 word essay based on this topic. Although they found it difficult they persevered and completed their essays to a very high standard. The children’s essay was marked using a university marking system. The hard work the children put in resulted them in achieving 2:1 and 1st grades. To celebrate this achievement the children attended a graduation ceremony at University of Essex, Colchester Campus on Friday 7th July The children are extremely proud of themselves and thoroughly enjoyed celebrating their achievements.
