Monteagle sports teams have enjoyed mixed fortunes in a very busy start to the sporting calendar. All children involved have shown a real enthusiasm and dedication to sport, carrying on the tradition of high investment and high achievement and further adding to the growth of sport in the school.
Monteagle football team, led by captain Lee Forbes, have beaten teams including Ripple and Rush Green and are looking forward to hosting the first round of the London Parish Cup against Ingastone Primary on the 2nd of December.
Monteagle Basketball team, led by captain Daniel Agoha, romped through the qualifying rounds of the Borough 4V4 Basketball at Eastbury Secondary School on the 5th November. Performances from new girl Ines Goryanova and Leia Edwards stood out as the team won a place in the finals on the 21st January.
So far so good for sport in the school with athletics, netball and tag rugby games coming soon.
