This week in Year 1 has been wonderfully busy! During our maths lessons, we have been exploring the concept of addition, focusing on how to combine parts to form a whole. We have engaged in a variety of addition activities and have been creating number sentences with enthusiasm.
Additionally, we have commenced our Religious Education lessons, where we will be considering the theme of ‘belonging’ throughout the year. Our initial discussions centred around Christianity, enabling us to understand the significance of a Christian family. To help our understanding of why families are important we drew our own family trees and shared the importance of our families with one another.
