This week the children are exploring with coloured water to learn about capacity. They are really enjoying filling up the bottles and describing whether they are full, empty and half full/empty. They are also using the words heavy and light to say whether their bottles are heavy once filled or light if empty.
Below is what some children said:
Bradley: “My bottle is getting full and heavy. The water had green paint inside.”
Anes: “My bottle is full and heavier than the empty bottle. The water is magic because it is green.”
Evelyne: “My bottle is heavy. It is getting full now.”
