This week, children in reception have been learning about the amazing undersea creatures in the bok ‘The Rainbow Fish.’ The children were given a series of images to choose from that included the rainbow fish himself, some of his friends, a starfish and of course the octupus that helps guide the rainbow fish to giving away his beautiful shiny scales.
The children used a variety of colours for their sea creatures, next they added tissue paper to create texture. Lastly, they added sequins to show that at the end of the story each of the fish were given a glittery scale.
