In Year 6 we have been using our understanding of the blues to compose our own blues melodies. We used the C blues melody, a swing beat (a combination of long and short sounds) and ostinato (repetition). Working in groups required a strong sense of ensemble and listening to each other.
We aimed to play our compositions using timbre (character) to convey a ‘blues’ mood. We hope you enjoy our compositions!
