This week nursery have been learning to use a butter knife to spread butter on bread. They really enjoyed this experience. We spoke about the importance of washing our hands before we touch and prepare food. The children really enjoyed eating the bread they had spread butter on themselves and shared some of their home expereriences of eating bread.
Xiran- “I eat toast with jam at home, I put my bread in the toaster first.”
Robert- “I like chocolate spread on my bread.”
Ivene- “I eat a sandwich for my packedlunch. I like butter on my bread.”
Andrei- “Bread is yummy, it is soft.”
