As we travel back on the coach, there’s a bittersweet feeling in the air. Day four brings a heavy heart as we say goodbye to Trewern and the beautiful landscapes of Wales. The sleepy heads around us is a sure sign of another night filled with laughter and late-night chatter, which is a result of the relationships formed during this incredible journey.
This week has been more than just an adventure; it’s been a profound lesson in growth and unity. We have witnessed our children stepping up in remarkable ways, supporting each other and taking on leadership roles. They’ve forged new friendships, demonstrating teamwork that has flourished throughout our time together. Their listening skills have improved tremendously, reflecting a deeper understanding of one another and the importance of collaboration.
The care and respect they’ve shown each other have been truly inspiring. From cleaning up after meals to setting the tables, serving one another, and even filling water bottles, they embraced their duties with a sense of pride and responsibility. It’s heartwarming to see how each child took ownership of their roles, contributing to the group’s well-being.
If they continue to carry these brilliant attitudes forward, I have no doubt these children will go far in life. Their growth this week is just the beginning of a wonderful journey ahead.
A huge thank you to the staff at Trewern for providing us with this amazing experience. Your support and guidance have made this trip unforgettable. As we head home, let’s cherish these memories and the lessons learned, and look forward to what lies ahead.
