Amongst many other fun activities (including making their own paint, practicing sewing and exploring the use of masking tape to support painting with acrylics) across the year groups, year 5 and year 4 used dough.
Year 4 used dough to create a printing block by rolling out and cutting then pressing objects into it to create a desired design. They then used printing ink to transfer colourful images of their designs onto paper.
Year 5 designed and made biscuits, by modifying a recipe to suit their groups purpose and target audience. The children worked fantastically as a team to create batches of biscuits, ranging from white chocolate dinosaur biscuits to cinnamon-infused Christmas cookies. They then went on to consider a design for packaging that would appeal to their target audience.
