We are currently reading The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas and the children are really enjoying it. We are taking our time and focusing on one chapter at a time. So far, we have written 3 diary entries from the perspective of the lead character Bruno and we have explored the comparisons between the old and new houses.
This week we were introduced to the disturbing ‘Window’ in Bruno’s bedroom and in our groups we carried out some drama to explore what exactly he had seen outside the grounds of his property and the possible dialogue he might have had with his sister Gretel.
We hope to explore these ideas next week, when all will be revealed to the children…
