This week in Year 1, we concentrated on the fascinating world of materials during our science lessons. We engaged in exciting experiments to determine which materials would be suitable for repairing a broken umbrella. We conducted tests to ascertain whether various materials were waterproof or absorbed water, aiding us in identifying the most effective option. Later in the week, we observed ice and made predictions about its changes when left out for an hour, discussing our findings and any surprises. In maths, we measured the capacity of containers using both cups and spoons, enhancing our understanding of measurement. It has truly been a week filled with practical learning experiences!
