We had a wonderful start to the year in the Key Stage 1 choir. The children began to learn to sing in two parts through the use of a round (singing the same part, separated by one measure). We will be practising singing in a round with the popular French children’s song ‘Frere Jacque.’ This will also give the children a head start for the French curriculum in a year or two!
We also sang the Hindi song ‘Kis nay Banaayaa.’ The children picked it up very quickly. Here’s a taster of our first rehearsal:
