Last week some animals from Wellgate Farm came to visit the children in Reception to link in with their theme ‘Little Explorers’ with a primary focus on animals.
Here the children had the opportunity to handle and feed some of the animals as well as learn the names, the names of the animal’s young and the produce we get from some farm animals.
Below are some comments from the children about their experience.
“The cow was my favourite. I liked it when he said Moo.” Asharn said.
“The baby rabbit was so cute. It was soft and furry.” Lou Lou said.
“I liked brushing the goat.” Alfie Said.
“I like feeding the sheep” Richie said.
“Burgers come from cows and Chicken nuggets come from chickens.” Samuel said.
