Ghanaian folk music- playing the rhythm!

In year 3 we are learning the traditional Ghanaian  call and response song ‘Kye Kye Kule.’

First, we mastered the song. Then we moved on to breaking it down into the foundations of music including the melody and rhythm. We started with the rhythm using rhythm syllables ti ( half beat) and ta (1 whole beat). Then we played the rhythm using pitched and un-pitched percussion.
