Reception children have been enjoying reading the timeless, classic fairy tale “Goldilocks and the Three Bears”. This lovely story is evolving around the theme of curiosity, consequences, and the importance of respecting others privacy. This book has captivated the young minds for generations together and still continues to do so. Reception children have been engaging in various activities based on this fairy tale. They have learnt to sequence the story using the story pictures, re-telling the story in their own words and engaged in the role play by using face masks and becoming the characters found in the story.

The most important lesson which all the children reflected upon, has been the importance of always asking permission before entering into anyone’s premises and understanding the consequences of one’s actions as we saw how Goldilocks enters the bears’ home without permission, uses their items, and even breaks a chair but in the end had to leave the bears’ home rushing out and never to return because her actions had really upset the bears’ family.
