This week the children in reception have been celebrating the Lunar new year.
We have learnt about the story of Jade emperor’s race to determine which animals would have a year named after them. We discovered this year is the year of the dragon.
To celebrate the Lunar new year we made a vegetable stir fry. We spoke about the different Vegetable we like and what we would like to add to our stir fry. We then discussed how we could cook them and created a recipe to follow. After the children tasted their stir fry and we had thumbs up all round. it was yummy!
