This week Nursery have settled into their new bubbles and have really enjoyed having fun together. We played some parachute games where children had to really listen and follow instructions. We also blew bubbles outside and really thought about how bubbles were made and what was inside them. Children also had a turn at mixing their own bubble liquid together and then testing it to see if it worked.
One of the really fun activities we did was a ‘THRIVE’ activity which was to make an alternative symbol of hope for our school. We looked at the NHS rainbow and discussed how all the different colours gave us hope to overcome the current situations we were in. The nursery children decided to make ‘butterflies’ as a symbol, because just like a rainbow, they could use different colours to collage their butterflies. Children were also given the opportunity to consider and share some of their lock down experiences.
