Over the past month, our school has been competing in Hi5 mixed netball competitions, within the borough of Barking and Dagenham. Two teams took part in the preliminary rounds, both played exceptionally well and showcased some real talent. Unfortunately, the A team narrowly missed out on the opportunity to advance, however the B team did progress.
In the next couple of weeks, the B team were invited to the Hi5 netball tournament finals at Barking Abbey Leisure Centre, the winner would represent Barking and Dagenham at the London Youth Games.
After a hard fought afternoon in tough weather conditions, the team finished an impressive 3rd and brought medals home to be proud of.
Many of the children that represented the school, on this occasion, had never taken part in such a tournament and none of the children looked out of place at all. They are a credit to the school and themselves. Well done team!
