To help children with settling into the nursery we have created a home role-play corner in the nursery. The home corner supports both individual and cooperative play. Many children spend considerable time in the home corner, exploring and imitating experiences they have had at home.
Nursery children have been busy playing in the home corner with friends, acting out familiar roles – moms, dads, stepparents, babies and brothers and sisters. They have really enjoyed feeling at home in this area and sharing what they do or see at home.
