As part of our history topic, year five have been exploring Ancient Egypt. So far we have created Egyptian timelines, explored the importance of the River Nile and researched the different seasons of the Egyptian calendar. It has been a fascinating learning journey.
This week, we wrote Diary Entries in character as an ancient Egyptian, working at the Giza Pyramids. To help us with our writing, we carried out a hot seating activity. Deborah and John done a fantastic job in role as Nacht, a worker from ancient Egypt, who endured the the long days of labour at work settlement for the pyramids.
We cannot wait to continue our learning journey after the half term.
