How does your garden grow?

In the English room we have been studying the process of growing a plant, from seed to an established flower.  In April we planted our sunflower seeds in compost and knew that they needed water, nutrients from the compost and light to grow successfully.

The picture below shows how the seeds developed into beautiful fully grown sunflowers which were cared for by the children from the very first planting of the seed to the blooming end product.
