Yesterday 13 children from Monteagle Primary school attending the Inspire Festival at Eastbury Community School. Their theme was a creative response to Merchant of Venice a play by William Shakespeare.
Children and young people from Eastbury, Monteagle, Northbury, and Ripple schools have explored key themes of Merchant of Venice, in collaboration with Studio 3 Arts artists. The outcome was a bold, visually striking live art and performance installation that took the audience on a very special journey through the school.
The schools all explored themes of love, money, justice, loyalty, and religion through a broad range of artistic media. Through a course of in-school workshops with artists, the children have developed a wealth of creative responses, brought together into an innovative contemporary live arts format.
Please see the photos below, the children represented our school and should be very proud of their achievements!
