Monteagle Primary School celebrated international week which was wonderful. Each year group was allocated a country and in year 3 we celebrated the countries Mexico, Trinidad and Tobago and Jamaica.
Children learned about their chosen country by researching facts and information independently and in groups.
In 3K, we looked at the beautiful country of Jamaica. Some of the things children excitedly found out were:
Facts about the Jamaican flag
Famous Jamaican people
The language spoken in Jamaica
The weather
The delicious food Jamaica has to offer
The wonderful music
And much more.
Parents visited at the end of the week and children got to showcase their fantastic work regarding their chosen country. Everyone had so much fun!
