In year five, we had a very special visit from Karl Nova – a talented Hip Hop artist and an award-winning poet. He shared the fascinating story of how he moved from London to Nigeria, and then back to London. Also, about how he became inspired to write poetry and create music.
During the session, we looked at different forms of poetry. We even got to create our very own Haiku poems, and looked at different poetic features, such as metaphors, personification and similes.
At the end of the session, we performed a poem together to some funky beats.
