Recently in the school we have been focusing on the importance of singing songs before we play them. By doing this we are then able to tell if we have made a mistake and correct our playing. We are developing our ‘hearing skills’ and using many parts of our brains at once.
Across the school we are learning hand signs to help us work out the pitches of notes.
Year 4 have also been doing this in their Violin lessons with the Barking and Dagenham Music Service. Can you tell which notes they are singing?
