Throughout the week, we have had the opportunity to explore the story of ‘Lila and the Secret of Rain’ through role play. We have been using our imagination to step into the shoes of the characters and empathise with their experiences. By reflecting on the different emotions and feelings portrayed by Lila in various parts of the story, we have been able to develop our understanding of empathy and deepen our emotional literacy.
During these role play activities, we have been encouraged to use our faces and actions to express Lila’s emotions. This interactive approach has enabled us to practice non-verbal communication in a creative and expressive manner. Through these dramatic interpretations, we have been able to engage more deeply with the story and gain a greater understanding of Lila’s journey.
