This week, the children were excited to start their new science topic, Listen Up!, which focuses on sound. To kick things off, we began by discussing the quietest and loudest areas of the school. The children then went on a sound walk around the school, exploring and identifying different sounds in various locations. It was a great way to spark curiosity and set the stage for their learning journey!
As part of their learning in this unit, the children were set an exciting challenge: to learn all they can about sound and design ear defenders for young people to wear at a concert. The children were thrilled by this task and are eager to begin creating their designs. They are looking forward to exploring innovative ways to make their ear defenders both effective and fun!
