As part of their geography topic ‘Always take the weather with you, everywhere you go’, our year 1 children braved the cold weather to go on a local walk to find a variety of houses. They were very observant, as they saw terraced houses, semi-detached houses, detached houses and flats.
It was wonderful to see the children correctly naming the different types of houses they saw. Some children spotted their own houses on the walk and were able to say what type of house they live in!
