This week in Year 1, we embraced Mental Health Week by focusing on the significance of mental well-being. We commenced the week with a thought-provoking assembly, delving into the importance of mental health. Each class engaged in chanting their personal affirmations, reinforcing the belief in our individual greatness. Our activities included exploring emotions and participating in games aimed at enhancing our ability to identify emotions within ourselves and others. Furthermore, we discussed strategies to support ourselves when experiencing different emotions. It was a week filled with self-reflection, learning, and fun as we celebrated Mental Health Week together.
In addition to celebrating mental health week we also had our RE day on Monday. This half term we were learning all about Hinduism and discovering what it means to belong to Hinduism. We had great fun finding out about the Hindu deities and their belief in karma and reincarnation.
