Monteagle has recently been awarded a silver arts award from the Arts Council of England. This is what they had to say about our provision:
Your enthusiasm for the potential of arts to change children’s lives was lovely to read. Of note is your commitment to providing specialist arts teachers, ensuring every child gains an arts award and the wide range of partnerships you have developed, including hosting and facilitating networks. Going forward, you could focus on developing the pedagogy of your arts practice and embedding it across your curriculum, providing a wider range of artform clubs for your children and increasing the role of children’s voice in choosing provision. Your children and young people are offered equal opportunity to participate in a diverse range of arts and cultural experiences and you recognise the importance of development opportunities for your staff in these areas. You understand the value of working with arts and cultural organisations and are developing partnerships to enhance your provision. Your children and young people have an opportunity to develop their knowledge, skills and understanding of arts and culture and you are working to build on the foundations of your provision.
