On Friday, the Monteagle Staff Choir were delighted to perform to the whole school in one of our weekly assemblies. We had been rehearsing since the end of October and practicing regularly to make sure we were ready for our performance. We sang ‘Something inside so strong’ by Labi Siffre with Mr Agyapong singing a solo, as well as ‘Merry Christmas Everyone’ by Shaking Stevens. What made it even more exciting for us, was when the children all joined in and sang with us – it gave us goosepimples as it was so moving!
We are looking forward to many more performances so watch this space!
If you didn’t see your teacher in the staff choir, why not suggest they join? Singing has many benefits to all of us including boosting our mood, helping with low feelings and making us feel good. Our choir is open to all staff and we are always looking for new members so tell your teachers to come join us!
