This Sunday marked an unforgettable experience for Monteagle’s Year 5 and 6 girls football team as they had the incredible opportunity to witness the thrilling West Ham vs. Everton Women’s Super League (WSL) game. Thanks to the school’s efforts, we were fortunate enough to secure 20 tickets, offering our budding football stars a chance to witness top-tier action up close.
The enthusiasm and passion for football at Monteagle are soaring, and it’s fantastic to see our girls’ team actively engaged and involved in the sport. This outing wasn’t just about watching a game; it was about igniting inspiration and fostering a deeper love for the beautiful game.
What’s even more exciting is that this is just the beginning. The school is exploring opportunities to secure more tickets for future games, providing even more of our students with the chance to experience live women’s football.
Although the result didn’t go the way of the home team, a great day was had by all!
