Monteagle’s Year 5 and 6 violinists and ukulele players had a fantastic day playing alongside secondary school students at Barking Abbey School yesterday. A number of local primary schools attended this inspiring day, aimed at encouraging young people to continue music in secondary school.
They took part in a range of musical activities: singing in a choir in multiple parts, playing in a orchestra and singing/playing ukulele. At the end of the day, there was a performance to parents and carers. Some of the repertoire on show included ‘Ode to Joy’ by Ludwig Van Beethoven, ‘In the Jungle’ by The Tokens and ‘This is Me’ from the Greatest Showman. We hope you enjoy our music making!
