The children have been taking advantage of the fine weather we have had on show this week, spending more time outside in the play areas for their learning and sensory exploration.

Due to the dry weather, we have been able to have paint and paper outside for the children to explore with paintbrushes or their hands and make hand prints. This has been part of a guided task in class, and then becoming an exploratory activity to explore on their own. Some children like getting messy with their hands, whereas others prefer the paintbrush to mark make on the paper.

We have also set up some water sensory trays to sit in the sun and play in. Again, most of the children like pouring and getting stuck in, whereas others would prefer to sit on the swing and enjoy the warm weather. Elsewhere, you can see other children enjoying their role play activity of putting a builders hat on and encouraged to use the building blocks.

Take a look at some pictures below to see the children enjoying messy play inside and outside.
