This week Nursery have enjoyed planting and exploring where plants, fruits and vegetables come from. We used all different seeds; Poppy’s, sunflowers, herbs and bluebells. The children wanted to leave the seeds in the garden but we explained we still have frost in the morning somedays and therefore the seeds won’t grow so we left them in the classroom where it was warmer.
We spoke about what will happen once we plant the seeds and how plants grow.
Below is what some children said:
Reham- “ We need to water our seeds, then the seed will turn into a lovely flower”
Xiran- “We have to give the plant sunlight and water to grow”
Robert- “Flowers grow very tall when they have food, like us”
