The children have been making rainbow toast with different colourings last week. This is linked to our colour and light topic. We are trying to have the children explore things that we even as adults would not think to do to help bring the colours and their learning to life. The children love making a mess with the food colouring, and some have tried their bread – we hope it tasted nice!
We have also had some children taking full advantage of the sunny weather we had toward the end of last week by spending some time outside and playing turn-taking games with one another. Some of the children did really well to wait for their turn when playing with an adult or another child, and to do this in the sun felt even more relaxing!
