We were blown away today by our guest artist, Ramz, visiting our Yaer 5 and 6 music assembly to spread the positive message of Love Music Hate Racism.
Ramz talked about his experience growing up in a multicultural community and how the music he writes celebrates this. We also got to sing Ramz one of our favourite songs that he wrote.
Darren Rodwell, the leader of Barking and Dagenham council also spoke at the assembly about how music can be a powerful tool in challenging racism. All children were encouraged to take part in Love Music Hate Racism’s #BeautifulResistance fortnight from 8-22 March 2019, all about spreading the message of unity in our communities. Some of our kids were even filmed promoting the fortnight.
