We have been learning about money this week in reception. Children were fascinated at the different coins and put them in order of value independently.
We also focused on the properties of coins and their shapes i.e a circular shape and a heptagon shape.
Children used everyday language to talk about the size of these coins i.e small and big, rounded and curved. Children also identified the colours of the coins including the colours brown/bronze, silver and gold as well as recognising the numerals embossed on the surface.
