Recently, the Y6 children delved into the world of newspapers, unravelling their features through an engaging, teamwork-driven approach.
In teams, each child assumed a specific role. The buzz of collaboration filled the air as they explored the diverse elements of newspapers, honing essential skills while having a blast.
Over the next two weeks, our students will step into the shoes of war correspondents in London during World War II. Immersed in the historic Blitz, they’ll employ their newfound newspaper literacy skills to report on the unfolding events. This immersive experience aims not only to educate them about a pivotal moment in history but also to cultivate empathy, critical thinking, and effective communication.
Stay tuned for updates on our young reporters’ journey through time as they bring the harrowing tales of the Blitz to life.
