This week in Year 1, we have continued to explore the enchanting tale of the Robot and the Bluebird. Our focus was on the moment when the robot and the bluebird first encounter one another. In class, we engaged in a lively role play of this scene, where we enthusiastically took on the roles of both characters. This experience has enriched our understanding of role play, particularly in relation to the effective use of voice, body language, and facial expressions to convey the characters’ thoughts and emotions. We had an abundance of fun, and the insights gained have greatly informed our writing activities this week.
