This week, Year 4 have been working incredibly hard, rounding numbers to 10.
We learnt the rule that if the units (ones) were 1,2,3 or 4, we would round the number down to the nearest 10, where as if the units were 5,6,7,8 or 9 we would round up to find the nearest 10.
For example – 37 would round to 40.
This basic rule helped us find the nearest 10 of much larger numbers too. For example – 6537 would round to 6540.
We have worked very hard this week and we are proud of what we have achieved!
