As part of our on going partnership with the Royal Academy of Art, artist Paul Brandford is visiting the year six children to continue the ‘Drawing Lab’ workshop series.
The children worked with Paul using a variety of mediums. They began to use charcoal and created some warm up drawings while the artist read them a poem. The children were encouraged to be creative and trust their instincts.
The next task was looking at a variety of images and using chalk pastel to add colour to some of their charcoal drawings. Paul selected some of the children’s work and conducted a mini critique with them, highlighting good technique. Check out some of the photos below.
