Over the next two terms, children in year 2 will be learning all about self portraits. Today they learned the difference between a portrait (which is a picture/painting that someone creates of someone else) and a self portrait (when the artist paints/draws a picture of themselves. We looked a series of portraits and self portraits and then we worked in small groups looking at self portraits and selecting two that were very special.
