This week year 4 have been looking at different materials and their properties. They have been learning about states of matter and categorising materials into solid, liquid or gas.
However, this week they came across two peculiar substances; Silly putty and thixotropic substance. Working efficiently in teams they tried to put it into the correct category but soon realised that the material held elements of both solid and liquid.
The children showed excellent investigative skills and team work while having quite a lot of fun deciding just which category it belonged to.
