We’ve had great fun this week celebrating World Book Week.
We’ve been using the book, ‘Fantastically Great Women who Changed The World,’ and in particular looked at the pages about Emmeline Pankhurst. We heard how she changed voting forever, and, along with the Suffragettes, were instrumental in getting ‘votes for women’ by arranging marches, chaining themselves to railings, setting fire to golf clubs ,which all led to many of them becoming arrested.
Over the week we joined livestreams of many authors and illustrators who showed us how they created some of their favourite characters.
Thursday was world Book Day when we all got the opportunity to dress up as book characters from our favourite books.
