Year 3 learnt a new song yesterday by current singer-songwriter Myles Smith. The song, called ‘Stargazing’, has a folk yet pop feel with a super catchy chorus. His songs are heavily influenced by the likes of Ed Sheeran and Mumford and Sons.
After learning the song, singing with great enthusiasm, they then learnt a tricky instrumental on their glockenspiels using three sharps. They performed their instrumentals individually and as a whole class. It has been so great to see their confidence grow this year and musicality.
Next year, their musical knowledge will build further as they will all be having ukulele music lessons during the school day by a ukulele specialist teacher. Exciting times ahead!
