This week Year 2 have been writing their own adventure stories on our book focus – Grandad’s Island. We planned our stories using a story plan then went on to write our stories by sections, opening, build-up, dilemma (we have been getting really imaginative and have created our own problems Grandad and Syd had to face on their journey!), resolution and finally, ending. We’ve had some fabulous work, the children have included lots of great vocabulary, exclamation marks, speech marks and even commas!
