Before the Easter holidays, Monteagle were raising money for the Sycamore trust. A local charity that supports families, children and young adults who have autism.
They are based in Dagenham and Romford, and have helped many of our families already with extra care, personal support to fill out and complete important documentation and even be a different person to sit, talk, listen and give advice on challenges in their daily lives.
All the staff and volunteers who work at this charity are either autistic themselves, or have a personal link to autism, whether it is a son/ daughter, parent or other.
As a total, Monteagle were able to raise a total amount of £420 for the charity with our fundraising and JustGiving page. Due to this, the charity created an appreciation post thanking Monteagle for their efforts and generosity. We, as a school and an ARP, are incredibly proud of the money we raised, knowing it will go to support local families and families at our school with autism.
We would also like to thank all those who donated to the cause. It is amazing that so many people supported us!
